Sunday at Grandma & Grandpa's

Sunday afternoon we headed over to Grandma & Grandpa's for lunch. The kids had fun playing outside all afternoon.

They worked for hours on building a huge sand castel!

DJ IN NEW YORK

DJ made it home safe and sound. She had a busy day yesterday, getting up at 3:00 a.m. - graduating at 9:00 a.m. and flying home. She was home in bed at the cabin at 10:30 p.m.! She is now an expert at manuvering at airports! Her flight schedule was San Antonio to Dallas, Dallas to Chicago, and Chicago to La Crosse! The kids, grandpa, and I decided to make a day of it . . . by leaving yesterday morning and spending the day at the cabin.

Solo Ensomble

The show choir performed today during solo ensomble . . . .. . they did a great job and received a 1st!

UPDATE ON DJ

DJ has left this Friday for her two week training "in the field". They go out camping in tents and practice all they learned in war like situations. (but safer) She has now became good at giving IV's, drawing blood, and doing even doing trac's. It's fun to hear from her . . . she has such a passion for what she is doing now . . . . the medical field is definitely a good fit for her.

When she gets back in two weeks, they then have one week to de-brief and get ready to come home. She gradates on March 5th and flies home the same day! She is hoping to get an apartment and work until she can get into college in the summer or fall semester!

Happy Hoops

For the last four Saturdays, the kids have been participating in Happy Hoops, where they learn some basic basketball fundamentals. Yesterday was their last day, where they were able to perform during half time of the boys basket ball game. They both really enjoy basketball . . . .
