Christmas

We had Christmas on my side on the 24th at my mom and dad's house. Trisha and Ian were able to join us this year from
Florida! The food was plentyfull as were the gifts. We had some fun having a cook off between Trisha and I!
We had two turkeys for the meal - one prepared by myself and one prepared by Trisha!

The kids had fun opening gifts and playing with their new toys!!

Christmas 2008

On Vacation

Jimmy and Gavino have safely arrived in Mexico and are at his parents house! They left around noon yesterday to Chicago. Our nephew's Adrian and Oscar drove them to the airport. They had a slow trip due to the snow fall. They stopped to do some shopping in Milwaukee and then arrived in Chicago around 8:00 p.m. Adrian and Oscar headed for home at 10:00 p.m. and did not arrive back until 5:00 a.m.! Because of the snow fall, the flight to Mexico was delayed. Jimmy said they got on the plane at the normal time; but then maintenance had to de-ice the plane prior to take off. They left Chicago at 4:00 a.m. and arrived in Zacatecas Mexico at 8:00 a.m. Ironically one of Jimmy's cousins was also on the plane, so they were able to ride back to his parents house with him! By 2:00 p.m. (after stopping to do some shopping) they were safe and sound at Jimmy's parents house! Jimmy said that Gavino took a hot shower . . . and curled up for bed by 7:00 p.m.!! He was beat from the long day of travel! Mom can sleep much better tonight - knowing all is well!

Christmas 2008

Santa suprised us by coming a few days early this year. When we came home on Friday after Vanesssa's Mini Pom performance - the tree was full of presents~!! Here are some of the shots of the kids favorite gifts!!

Vanessa had a great time last week practicing with the high school girls dance team! Once a year the dance team offers a camp for the little girls . . . where they learn a routine and perform during half time at a Basket Ball game!

Fun in the snow!

Vanessa and Gavino had a great time playing in the snow last week!! Good thing they played last week . . . as it is now way too cold to play outside!

2008 Christmas Parade!

Here is the Aladin float in the Christmas Parade. We had near zero degree temps . . . but it was still fun to be out in the cold to see the magical floats!
