2009 Christmas Parade

Tonight was the annual Christmas Parade in town. The kids had fun filling costumes. Adrian and Oscar were good sports and helped out on the Aladin float. Mateo was one of the Seven Dwarfs. He was rather worried about being in the parade - but he loved it. The weather was pretty good this year - a bit on the cold side; about 20 degrees, but actually perfect for the parade committee to not have to deal with mud!

Gone to Mexico . . . .

This was the saddest goodbye I have ever seen. Poor Mateo's heart was broken to see his brother and dad leave for Mexico for two weeks. Jimmy and Gavino had a long day of travel on Thursday but arrived safe and sound in Mexico on Friday morning. They met up with some neighbors at the airport and got lucky to get a ride from the airport to Rio Grande with them! This avoided having to take taxi's and the bus! They called us Friday morning from Rio Grande and were ready to do some shopping. Gavino needed a pair of cowboy boots to go with his new saddle he is excited to use.

By today - I'm sure Jimmy is in heaven waking up at his parents house and eating his mothers good cooking! I sure can't seem to compare to that!! :)

Trisha and Raquel are about the same height . . . . now notice the shoes!! Trisha has heels on and Raquel is barefoot!! I think DJ is the only one that won't get taller than Trisha!
